Prepare sequence senders

Choose your sending setup and check mailbox health before launching outreach.

Available on Pro, Growth and Enterprise

Before launching a sequence, choose the mailboxes you will send from and check that they are ready. Follow Sequence senders and settings for setup steps, signature controls and mailbox health messages.

For people who already know you, such as past customers or event contacts, start with your connected work inbox and the default limits.

For cold outreach, review the audience and sender setup first. Use separate sending domains when the volume should not go through your work inbox. Prepare and authenticate those mailboxes with your email provider before uploading them; Lightfield does not warm them for you. Check your provider’s SPF, DKIM and DMARC requirements.

  1. Enable your connected mailbox for sequences. Connecting it for mail sync alone does not enable sequence sending.
  2. Set the sender’s signature. Keep the signature out of the email step to avoid repeating it.
  3. If using separate warmed mailboxes, upload and check them. Choose where replies go and wait for Healthy status.
  4. For LinkedIn, follow LinkedIn steps. Check its availability before adding the steps.
  5. Review sending limits and schedules. Keep the defaults while you check your first results.
  6. Prepare and verify your audience before enrolling contacts.

Each person connects and enables their own accounts. Check the sequence’s Senders row before activating so it uses the accounts you intended.

Check bounces per sender as well as for the whole sequence; a total can hide one failing mailbox. Read replies and requests to stop outreach. An application limit does not guarantee delivery or prevent a provider restriction.

If deliverability declines, remove the affected sender from the sequence, find where bounces cluster, and re-verify that part of the list. Check provider guidance and mailbox health before resuming. Fix a sequence that is not sending covers stopped senders and enrollments that need attention.

If the copy or setup is wrong, edit it with the agent and publish the change. Pause first if sending needs to stop while you fix it. See Build a sequence for how edits affect enrolled contacts.
