title: Review sequence results | Lightfield
description: Check sequence health and results each week.
---

Check active sequences each week for drafts awaiting review, contacts needing attention, unanswered replies and lists nearing completion. This guide walks through those checks.

For enrollment statuses and fixes, see [Replies and troubleshooting](/help/sequences/replies-and-troubleshooting/index.md).

## 1. Clear what’s waiting on you

Start with anything that’s stopped.

1. Open [For review](/help/for-review/index.md) and approve, edit or dismiss sequence drafts. Later steps for those contacts hold until you do.
2. Open each live sequence from **Demand → [Sequences](https://crm.lightfield.app/crm/sequences)**. On its **Enrollments** tab, filter by **Needs attention** and open each one to see why it stopped. The most common cause is a sender that can’t send. See [Replies and troubleshooting](/help/sequences/replies-and-troubleshooting/index.md) for the fix for each reason.
3. Read the **Replies** tab and answer anyone you haven’t. See [Handle replies](/help/sequences/replies-and-troubleshooting/#when-a-contact-replies/index.md) for how to respond to each kind.

You can also ask the agent in chat: “Which of my sequence enrollments need attention, and why?” It can read your sequences, enrollments and settings, and resume or unenroll contacts for you.

To hear about problems between check-ins, turn on **Sequence failures** and **Sender health** in [Settings → Notifications](https://crm.lightfield.app/crm/settings/notifications/).

## 2. Read the numbers on what’s live

Each sequence’s page shows its sends, opens, replies and bounces, with rates.

- **Replies:** read the replies themselves to understand whether people are interested, need more information or want outreach to stop. Automated replies do not count in the sequence’s results; see [Replies and troubleshooting](/help/sequences/replies-and-troubleshooting/index.md).
- **Bounces:** check sender health and which contacts could not be reached.
- **Opens:** treat these as a limited signal. An open does not establish that a person read the message.

### Choose what to check next

| What you see | What to check next |
| ---------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Few opens | Check sender health and bounces before changing the copy. |
| Opens but few replies | Review whether the audience and message fit, using a sample of actual messages. |
| Replies but little interest | Read the reasons people give before changing targeting or the offer. |
| Replies drop during a sequence | Check whether sends are still happening, then compare sender health and the remaining steps. |
| Interested replies but no meeting booked | Answer the person’s question and agree on one next step. |

If the copy is the problem:

- **It sounds like AI.** Give the agent a concrete list of phrases to avoid, and paste in two of your own emails as a voice reference. Concrete bans and real examples do far more than “make it sound human”.
- **Every preview has the same opener with different names.** The personalization isn’t finding real signals. Either your contacts have thin data, or the sequence doesn’t tell the agent to find a signal per contact with a fallback line. Test run across several cohorts to see how widespread it is.

If deliverability is the problem, take the affected sender off the sequence rather than pausing everything, re-verify the failing part of the list, and keep sending from healthy senders. See [If something goes wrong while a sequence is sending](/help/sequences/prepare-senders/#check-sending-health/index.md).

## 3. Decide the next play

A new cohort, a new signal, a new segment, or a fresh angle on the same segment. Work down the [Outbound playbook](/help/sequences/playbook/index.md) rather than reaching for cold every time. Next plays usually come from:

- **Your own results.** A cohort that replied well deserves a second angle. One that flatlined deserves a post-mortem, not another attempt.
- **Your CRM, again.** New lost deals pile up, people change jobs, new stakeholders appear at customers. Put revive, expand and champions-who-moved plays on a repeating schedule.
- **New signals.** A signal you weren’t tracking three months ago is a new play against the same accounts.
- **Your business.** A launch, a case study, a conference, or a feature that closes a gap you used to lose on.

If you’re stuck, ask the agent: “Show me three plays we haven’t tried yet that make sense for this business.”

When something about your targeting or messaging changes, change it in the knowledge base rather than patching individual sequences. See [Preparing to send](/help/sequences/prepare-audience/#changing-things-later/index.md).

## 4. Build and queue it

Build the next sequence, test run it and create it, following [Building sequences](/help/sequences/build-a-sequence/index.md). Leave it paused, ready to activate the day the current one winds down.

Re-verify a list before you reuse it. People change roles and addresses, so an address that passed an earlier check may no longer be usable.

## Weekly checklist

- For review cleared, and every **Needs attention** enrollment resolved
- Replies answered
- Numbers read on everything live, per sender as well as per sequence
- Any sender with rising bounces taken off its sequences and investigated
- LinkedIn acceptance rate checked
- Next play decided, built, tested and created, not activated
- Knowledge base updated if you learned something worth keeping

## When something stops working

Ask the agent in chat first. Describe what you expected and what happened; it can read your workspace’s sequences, enrollments and settings, which is usually faster than working through a list. For the common problems, such as a sequence that won’t activate, contacts that were enrolled but never sent to, or a LinkedIn step that failed, see [Replies and troubleshooting](/help/sequences/replies-and-troubleshooting/index.md). For what sequences don’t support, see [Sequences](/help/sequences/index.md).
