Some models in Lightfield’s chat picker are available only on the plans below. **Auto** and the models that are not premium work on every plan.

## Who can use it

On every plan, use **Auto** or another model that is not premium. See [Choose a model](/help/chat/choose-a-model/index.md).

Premium models are on Pro, Growth and Enterprise, for every role that can use chat.

Earlier plans can differ. [Check your workspace’s available features](/help/missing-feature/index.md).

## Which models are premium

These models are premium when they appear in your model picker:

- Claude Opus 4.8
- Claude Opus 5
- Claude Fable 5
- GPT-5.5
- GPT-5.6 Sol
- GPT-6 Astra

## What you see on Starter

On Starter, premium models show greyed out at the bottom of the model list, with **Unavailable for Starter plan** under their name. You can’t select them. Keep using **Auto** or another model in the list.

To unlock premium models, an admin changes the plan in [Settings → Billing](https://crm.lightfield.app/crm/settings/billing), or contact Lightfield. See [Billing](/help/settings/billing/index.md).

## Common questions

**Why does a model say Unavailable for Starter plan?** It’s a premium model, and Starter doesn’t include premium models. Use **Auto** or another model, or ask an admin to change the plan.

**Does Auto work on Starter?** Yes. **Auto** and every model that isn’t premium work on every plan.

**How do I unlock premium models?** An admin changes the plan in [Settings → Billing](https://crm.lightfield.app/crm/settings/billing) to Pro, Growth or Enterprise, or contacts Lightfield.
